This was such terrible food. The beef rendang was only half full, for $26 I feel ripped off! The roti was stale/over cooked and cold. The curry puffs were cold. The chicken ribs were not even ribs. It was just tiny pieces of chicken fillet. And it was all COLDWill never go back to this place again. The rendang tasted okay, but the portion size is really really bad for the price.

Restaurant serving authentic Malaysian, hawker style food. Within easy reach of the city centre. All the staples are there and done really well.A big drawcard is their lunch specials: $13.50 for one dish with a drink.Definitely a place for a quick, cheap lunch with generous portions and good flavour.

Authentic malaysian restaurant in Melbourne, and my number one choice for some malaysian dishes.Great atmosphere with some outdoor seating as well.They have plenty of choices from their menu, but I tried their laksa, salted egg chicken ribs, buttermilk chicken and the Nyonya Fish.It was all delicious and buttermilk chicken is easily my favourite of all. However, the salted egg ribs were very hard to chew and dry at the same time, with barely any salted egg sauce.But still, I'd recommend this place and surprise yourself with other dishes. Plenty to choose from!

Loved all the dishes we ordered. They were all yummy and quite authentic Malaysian. Price is reasonably cheaper compared with other places. I will definitely be back again.

Disappointing experience after reading all the positive reviews. The two dishes we ordered were average in taste and then we decided to order the curry puffs. Out came 3 tiny puffs (only two small bites) for $7. one bite into it showed that the puff wasn’t cooked properly. I told the waitress who quickly went to check with their cooks- only to inform me her cooks say that’s the norm!! I was really shocked and then another of the team came and had to admit it wasn’t cooked thoroughly. They took it back and served us a few plate. Honestly The new batch wasn’t cooked thoroughly. We were told that the curry puffs are bought frozen and cooks just deep fry them. It’s not home made. Shocked that if they can’t even deep fry frozen puffs properly. What confidence can i have in them ?

Good Malaysia food and have a Malaysian taste.When serve the honey chilli chicken ribs was not attractive as the colour present was seem like not nice. But after taste it was very surprisingly good😍😍😍Veg a bit over cook but overall was good taste because the veg well wash 😊

I just had their pad thai and have previously had their beef rendang. Great value! Made very quick. Very nice staff and service, I think I might make this my local jaunt :)

Really friendly helpful and attentive service. outdoor seating and tables available (so great to bring pets too), popular for dine in and takeaway. authentic Kuala Lumpur malaysian cooking scents waft through the restaurant from the kitchen every now and then. the mee goreng was a perfect balance of a charr (wok-hey/ breath of a wok) fresh lemon zest, tomato chilli umami, fresh lettuce and a decent amount of shrimps. the fish head curry was very light and generous with the amount of fish. unusually not very spicy at all- so suitable for low spice tolerance guests. the bubur chacha desert which was perfectly homely and authentic down Not overly sweet level of gula melaka. Best features: service, charr, authentic flavours, lightness of the stir fry and curry (Neither where weighed down by oil grease or overuse of coconut cream), very reasonable prices! also good place for families. expansive menu. i’ll be back to try other dishes

KL Bunga Raya was an eatery in North Melbourne, serving Malaysian cuisine. I’ve been here a couple of times and both times my dining experience was positive. Service was friendly, there were a lot of variety of dishes to choose from, the portions were generous, and the meals themselves, while in my opinion could have been more flavourful, were still decent. The eatery was quite spacious so it was a good fit for group lunches/dinners.

Heaven! Where have I been all these time, not knowing this is the best place for Laksa?! Authentic Malaysian dishes with a rather big menu, everything is fresh and tasty, excellent services and I'm just too happy to discover this place!

Authentic Malaysian food that is fresh and delicious with fair pricing and generous servings. Will be back for sure. The greens with crispy pork belly and salted egg yolk chicken ribs were amazing.

Fantastic food and lots of options including for sharing. Friendly welcoming staff, and eat in or out. Noodles are perfectly cooked and greens crisp and tasty. Good beer options as well as well as refreshing soft drinks.

Their prawn noodles are possibly the best in Melbourne. The prawn stock is so authentic and the prawns are so sweet and fresh. Highly recommended

We had a very good time at KL Bunga Raya. The food is delicious, flavourful and plentiful. In my opinion and my partner's (who's of Malaysian origins) the food is authentic and traditional.Very friendly staff and affordable prices.

We've been in Melbourne just two full days and already enjoyed meals here on two different occasions when we thought we would try out different places. It was great the first time and it was still great the second time. The food is flavourful and fantastic and the meals are value for money.

It used to be my go-to for the best Laksa… but lately something has changed.It’s broth isn’t as consistent as it used to be, sometimes it tastes super watered down even though the colour looks the same.I used to treat myself once a week and now the last occasional 5 times, it’s always been off the mark.

Great Malaysian food here. The golden (salted egg) fried dishes here are as good as any you'd find in KL if not better. Highly recommended!

Really good Malaysian dishes. Absolutely love and recommend the salted egg prawns or chicken ribs! I hope they make eggplant or tofu with salted egg one day. The salted fish fried rice and tofu with minced pork were 👍

No frills, all substance. The combination curry laksa hits the spot with a very satisfying, moderately spicy and slightly coconut-sweet, broth. Portions are generous but not so big as to make one uncomfortable.

Food: Fairly decent food! Each time we visit we find a surprising dish. Good variety for different tastes.Service: Very friendly service and has always been accommodating to prams and children.Location: On main strip on Errol with some parking in back streets.Value: Well priced.Summary: This is our go to place usually after an inner city errands. We usually can't be bothered going into the city due to parking etc, so opt for the fringe, hence this is usually our first choice. Lovely people there, and pretty nice place for group lunches.

Ordered through door dash for delivery at 8pm at about 6:30pm. Had to wait until 8:45pm for it to arrive.Everything was cold and was missing an entire meal we ordered and paid for. Really annoyed by this as the restaurant had ample time to get this right.

One of the best laksa I had in Melbourne! The broth was flavourful and savoury. Besides, the portion was huge and at a reasonable price. This place also offers other Malaysian dishes. Will definitely visit here again!

Super delicious Malaysian food! The beef rendang is one of the best I've ever had. Don't forget the Aachar to offset the coconut goodness. Perfect!
