KL Bunga Raya

Delicious Malaysian food, lovely interior and kind friendly staff! The laksa had a good balance of spiciness, not too much or too little. The buttermilk chicken, one of my favourite Malaysian dishes, was made very well, its so flavourful and crunchy! The nasi lemak sambal was interestingly sweet compared to the traditional sambal, I personally liked it!

Delicious food at extremely good portions and prices. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to my requests. Would definitely go back again!

Amazing authentic Malaysian and very very affordable. Highly recommended. Fast turnaround and very friendly service. Beef rendang - super tasty, 0.5 star less because beef cut is a little too chewy. We eat a fair bit of fried icecream as Vietnamese but their fried icecream is so far the best we've tried. Wow.

Fairly extensive selection of dishes offered in this joint ranging from main dishes to rice and noodles. The nasi Lemak was quite good, the beef Rendang was soft and seasoned nicely. The Salt spicy chicken ribs was juicy, has crispy coatings but lacking enough flavour in the seasoning and the batter.

This place is in my top 3 list of favorite Malaysian restaurants in Melbourne. If you’re searching for a a taste of nostalgic flavors from Malaysia, add this to your list of must visits.

Easy, enjoyable awesome lunch for what they are charging, thank you.

Nice homely place. Reminds me muchly of Malaysia! Food is on the mark 💯 Also one of the rare places that actually serve buttermilk chicken! (on the menu as 'Buttered Chicken') Kinda wished they were able to have better talent/capacity for service, as they'd not usually be as attentive, but if you're familiar with Malaysia, you'll fit right at home.

There are very few restaurants we have visited that leave a mark of their own with very distinctive flavors that's beautiful yet very unlike the usual, and KL Bunga Raya falls into this bracket. Clearly, very flavorful and value for money, we devoured every bit of the Char Kway Teow - Flat Noodles with Shrimp and Fish Cake and Rice with lightly flavored Chickens Curry and equally lightly flavored Beef Renang ....Which was nothing like we have usually had but definitely yum. Just one complain: there were only two pieces of prawns in the noodle, which was insufficient Hospitality was very warm and friendly, and in our opinion a must.

Cannot count how many vegetarian laksa’s I have had from this restaurant and they NEVER disappoint!! so incredibly delicious !!

No frills, all substance. The combination curry laksa hits the spot with a very satisfying, moderately spicy and slightly coconut-sweet, broth. Portions are generous but not so big as to make one uncomfortable.

Their weekday special (a selected main noodle or rice dish) + drink @ $10.90 is very good value and delicious.

Cheap, quick and tasty. Among 5 people, we shared salted egg prawns, sambal belachan kangkung, nyonya fish fillet and wat dan hor (stir fried flat rice noodle with runny egg sauce). Total bill was under $110

I had the veggie laksa ... it was amazing, the flavours were rich and fresh I was v impressed. And only cost $11 for a massive bowl. Honestly best quality laksa I've eaten ever.

Ordered through door dash for delivery at 8pm at about 6:30pm. Had to wait until 8:45pm for it to arrive.Everything was cold and was missing an entire meal we ordered and paid for. Really annoyed by this as the restaurant had ample time to get this right.

Excellent service great food but the portion and the taste is not as good as few years back

The rendang was absolutely inedible. I've never had such a tough beef in rendang and the sauce tasted like gravy!!! Laksa too small for price and barely any chicken. Do not recommend. Perhaps good for Aussies who like sweet and sour chicken and Mongolian beef and spring rolls etc.

Food is good value and quality, great service.

One of the best laksa I had in Melbourne! The broth was flavourful and savoury. Besides, the portion was huge and at a reasonable price. This place also offers other Malaysian dishes. Will definitely visit here again!

It's fair, but with such high stakes... It's hard to recommend KL Bunga Raya before Laksa House, Laksa King or Chef Legenda - for Laksa. So try the Duck Curry. Great service and byo...

D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S. Really wanted a good bowl of laksa to cure the lockdown blues and this was like a warm hug. I got the combination laksa and my partner got the king prawn laksa. Both were great, although I think the combo laksa is better value. We ordered takeaway and everything was packed really well - no spillage. Definitely our new laksa spot!

Lunch menu $11.80 including drink. Good value and taste good too.

The food was not bad, price was good and service was great.

Authentic modern Malaysian restaurant with BYO options. Simply fantastic! Go for the rice meals. Good price for the quality and quantity.

Ordered Hainanese Chicken Rice through Uber and it wasn’t as good as expected. The best part was the soup. The portion size is really good but taste didn’t do it for me.
